Home Secretary: "We need to control Glitter"

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has said that she does not want Gary Glitter to be
able to travel abroad once he has returned to Britain.

Ms Smith told the wireless station talkSPORT.

"I want Gary Glitter to be controlled whilst he's here and I don't want
him to be able to go anywhere else in the world in order to abuse children."

Glitter will be required to sign the sex offenders' register and will have to
send word the government if he wants to travel abroad.

Glitter's lawyer Le Thanh Kinh said that his client went to the British
consulate after existence released from Thu Duc jail in Binh Thuan at 11.30am
local time (5.30am UK time).

He added: "I spoke to him just now and he aforesaid everything is OK. He is
glad to be going home. He was in a good mode."

Glitter was transported in a Jeep under constabulary guard to the airdrome. On his
arrival he was interpreted inside through a VIP entrance about an hour before the
flight took off. He is due to change planes in Bangkok, Thailand, and arrive
in London tomorrow afternoon.

The Virgins book run with The Black Kids

New Wave revivalists The Virgins [ ] testament support their recent full-length debut with a run of fall dates encouraging indie rockers The Black Kids [ ].

The New Yorkers--who experienced a surge in popularity of late when the CW Network show "Gossip Girl" featured five of the band's songs in one episode--will kick sour the pleasure trip Sept. 19 in Jacksonville, FL. Following a run up the Atlantic coast, the term of enlistment concludes in mid-October with a run of California dates. Details are below.

The band worked with the production team of Sam Hollander and Dave Katz (S*A*M and Sluggo) on its self-titled debut record album, which features several songs that previously appeared on the group's "The Virgins '07" EP.

The lead single, "Private Affair," can buoy be heard streaming at The Virgins' website, along with 2 other songs from the debut, which hit stores in June.

The Virgins formed in 2006 after frontman Donald Cumming and guitar player Wade Oates met at a Ryan McGinley photoshoot. The mate joined with bassist Nick Zarin-Ackerman and drummer Erik Ratensperger and began playing downtown NYC parties earlier signing an Atlantic Records contract.

He is besides one of the most fecund composers working in whatever medium. No claim figure is available, merely he's scored several 100 films over the past respective decades, perchance as many as D. RCA's The Legendary Italian Westerns, Virgin's deuce Film Music volumes, and Rhino's Anthology are useful collections, and the DRG judge has reissued other noteworthy compilations of his work.
